Land Use / Management Changes

Over 10km of grips were blocked in the headwaters prior to the installation of the instrumentation (2004/05) and woodland planting occurred in the upper catchment during early 2008. Stock was excluded from 1999 to 2007, after which low level restocking starting. Recent land use / management changes provided below:

Channel Description

The channel cross-section at the instrument location is provided below. Datum is taken as the top of the diver access tube (red bar). Width is measured from the left-hand side bank when looking downstream, with locations to left of the diver tube taken as negative and those to the right positive.
