|OS Grid ref||SD 71216 52496|
|Data availability||03/10/2008 - 31/01/2010|
|Location||At the outlet of Croasdale, immediately upstream of the confluence with the Hodder|
|Abstractions||There are no upstream United Utilities abstraction points|
|Related sites||Upstream site, Croasdale (EA gauge); downstream site, HOD_mid; other sites in Croasdale subcatchment, CRO_sc1, CRO_sc2, CRO_sc3, CRO_sc4, CRO_sc5 and CRO_mid|
Data DownloadCross section survey data, stage/discharge data (including manual measurements of stage) and time series of levels (not corrected for atmospheric pressure) may be downloaded here (770kb). (For details on using the data click here.)
Land Use / Management ChangesA relatively large grip system has been blocked in the Swine Clough catchment (see CRO_sc2). The total length affected is approx. 0.5 km. Low stocking levels are being maintained in the headwaters for habitat regeneration. Two coniferous forested patches (approx. 0.025 km2 each) have been logged.

Channel DescriptionThe channel cross-section at the instrument location is provided below. Datum is taken as the top of the diver access tube (red bar). Width is measured from the left-hand side bank when looking downstream, with locations to left of the diver tube taken as negative and those to the right positive. Details from an MSc student project are available here. (Note, the information above takes precedence over the student report.)
